Centered Leadership… The BREAKTHROUGH To Dynamic Workplace Performance!

“Leadership, like swimming cannot be learned by reading about it.” – Henry Mintzberg

Do you want your employees to LEARN about leadership, or do you want to GROW leaders?

  • THE SCIENCE

At Centered Leadership Institute, we understand how the human mind works. And we know how to teach leadership practices in a way that participants learn AND apply the skills necessary to become a leader in your organization. Drawing from neuroscience, organizational psychology, system theory, and leadership development, we take a comprehensive and holistic approach to leadership development by combining best techniques and practices.

  • THE PROCESS

Our research shows that successful leaders actually “embody” their leadership style.

It becomes a part of them. Through a distinct alignment of mind and body – the way they think and act – successful leaders gain congruency and consistency in their thoughts and actions. Through this distinct mind-body combination they are able to also create congruency and consistency in their leadership style. Most powerful leaders don’t just apply effective leadership techniques to impact others, they start with themselves, and they live it.

Neuroscience has found that several intelligences interplay in the human mind simultaneously and this interaction fundamentally impacts human performance.

The human mind consists of cognitive and somatic intelligences. When they are not developed and nurtured at the same time, it often leads to in-congruence and – in turn – to decreased performance.

Here is an example:

Have you ever experienced a time where you knew exactly what to do? You had the skills and knowledge. Taking action made complete sense. Yet, for some reason you just couldn’t execute? Most likely, your somatic mind, your “gut” interfered with reason. In other words, even though it made “sense” to act, it didn’t “feel right”. The in-congruency between the two different intelligences challenged you to follow-through on your actions.

  • THE DIFFERENCE

At Centered Leadership Institute programs, participants gain clarity about most effective practices, achieve a cognitive and somatic alignment with the desired actions in order to follow-through on what matters.

Creating alignment between both intelligences paves the way for highest performance.

Traditional learning environments only focus on the cognitive mind, seeking to fill participants with intellectual knowledge.

A key aspect of our programs is carefully crafted exercises that combine cognitive and somatic components, thus aligning the head with the “gut”.

We give our participants the tools to rise as true leaders, from the inside out.

  • THE PAYOFF (What’s in store for your company and your team!)

Our programs engage 2 minds: the cognitive and the somatic mind. This means that your employees will gain the cognitive knowledge of new skills and they will learn how to live it. Our research shows that most successful leaders don’t just seek to understand effective leadership practices; they also live it. Sustainable leadership skills are shaped when people are able to integrate them into their lives.

Through innovative exercises, participants start embodying best practices right in our classroom.

They will try on the new tools and techniques and practice them to immediately start shaping new habits in effective self-leadership and leading others. This holistic learning approach helps them to instill an alignment, congruency, and confidence as a leader that directly transfers from the classroom into daily routines at work and life – where the new leadership skills matter the most.
